Well, your friends just need to get over it. ^^ You have every right to go out with anyone you want. DHB seems nice, decent, and caring from the things you've said about him, so they can't object to his personality.
Friends are great, but everyone deserves that opportunity at being close to one special person, the kind of closeness you don't get with just friends.

Yup, apparently K-Pop is getting really popular in Bhutan (either that, or she was referring to Hong Kong, since she studied there for a couple years before going to Kenyon).
And yeah, people do the awkward turtle in Chicago too. :3
