I know... I guess I feel like I've mostly gotten over him in the romantic sense since I don't freak out anymore whenever our arms brush or something, but it is still weird. Because I really wonder if I'm completely over him or if I'm just better at suppressing it now. (Sometimes I really really think the latter.)

EXACTLY!!! I honestly don't think my mom will give two shits (or even one!) about the gender of the people I travel with as long as she knows they're friends and not creepers or anything. It's just my sister who gets kind of anal about those things. ^^;;
Meh, you're in college, I see no problem with traveling alone with guys as long as they're people you personally trust. This is the best time of your life to make last-ditch plans, anyway. :P

I'm not the kind of person who got too touchy feely with friends of the opposite gender, so I don't know if it's "normal" or not. I think it's different depending on who you are. But it does seem to blur the line between "just friends" and "???".
