In the program that you make your ecards and wallies, resize them to fit--measure them by pixels. For Ecards, they need to be 350x350 and wallpapers have a few choices, but 1024x768 or one of the ones listed in the submission page with the same ratio is required.
I have Adobe Photoshop and I can resize the image under "Image" and "Resize" and "Image size" or cut off edges/add space under "Image" and "Resize" and "Canvas size"
Depending on what you are doing your graphics in, how to resize may be different, but this should at least help you find it. I hope that helps! :3
am so sorry to bother you,but i really want to make E-cards and wallies but...i dont know how, could you tell me how to get the pics down to the right size? anyhelp would be really helfull :D ~thanks natsu-chan
They just changed the terminology, so there aren't featured fanwords any more, but you can choose which of your posts are featured on your profile by selecting "Feature on Portfolio"
wallpapers are big, I always go to the wallpaper submission page to look up the exact pixels required since it's so specific for it to be accepted
ecards are 350x350 exactly, so they're smaller than wallpapers...by far ^^
THIS PAGE has more details about submission requirements
You can also always use the "Quick Submit" from your backroom to see what you need for the submission as well as THIS POST talking more about submissions
Hi! I have a question! ^^ Is making an ecard the same thing as making a wallpaper? I'm not sure where to find the requirements for that and such, so if you do know, please tell me! Thank you so much!
That's for you're favorites here on TheO. So if you see a wallie someone else made here, you click the pic under in the description of the heart with a + on it and it will be added to your favorites.
I offer help for more than just how to find your way around the site, kinda like Ask Abby. If you have any problems with roommates or teachers, you can ask that too!

Highlight Worlds and choose Edit designs. Choose your world to edit, then under "Step One: Choose a Theme" you can choose from a list of schemes there (you can select them one at a time and check them out to see which one you like)and/or add your own background there under the next step. It's your world so it's your choice on which of those you'd like to do!

Do you mean that someone has you as a guest poster but you can't post there? I wasn't aware of any restrictions like that. To post on a world that someone has added you as a guest poster, you highlight "Post" in your backroom and select "Add Guest Post" then choose the World you're posting as a guest to then fill out the rest of the page like you do with a normal post.

I don't believe you can do that. The fan arts and fan comics are for original fan works, not traced and probably not colored either. However, you CAN create a world for them and then post the manga scan pictures to the world to show them off here! :3
Do you mean a "world" to your portfolio or like a "Fan Word"? For the FanWord, I have a post on that. For a world, go to your backroom, highlight "Worlds" then select "Create World" and after you create one, you can spruce it up with "Edit Designs" and "Introduction" then add stories/blogs/posts it by highlighting "Posts" and select "Add Posts"
I have no idea about that program. You'll have to play with it. It should have a help option where you can search it for specific things like output and defult image.
For decorating your world, in the backroom, go to World and select "Edit Design" and also "Introduction" to do things for your world.
I think it should be okay to quote in ecards ^^ If you're hesitant and want to stay safe, you can credit it in the commentary part where you describe about it
Hi, I am new and need help in basically everything...
I would like to make stuff to put on, but i have no skill in paint at all. Is it possible to make stuff on CorelDraw 11?
Also, can you use sayings to from other websites to put on a card and stuff, or does it have to be your own?
Next, how do you change the default image our input one?
Finally, I created a world, but have no idea at all on how to decorate it or do anything with it.
Help!
Thanks
Go to the wallpapers, hit the edit button, then at the bottom, change the "submit for publication" to "Delete: Warning" then click the submit/share button below and it should be gone imediately ^^ (or shortly thereafter)
Glad to hear that it's helped you ^_^ For an ecard in Paint the best way to go about it is have a new document sized at 350X350, then position your background on it. There's not too much fancy stuff in paint, but you can try it. Save often when you do something you like incase you mess up a lot and can't undo all the steps. If you're carefull, You can cut out other images and paste them on to combine on the ecard. For text, if you can't find an easy color to show up, you can put a solid block of color to write on or choose two colors and write the text twice, with the top slightly moved to give the words a shadow or make the bottom text slightly bigger for an outline, but the outline isn't as consistent. If you go back through my Ecards, my first 9 cards were done in paint to help give you an idea of what you can end up with ^^ I hope the explanation was helpful! ^_^
when you submit a fanword for a challenge, you still need to post it on the world, so if you want it 'published' then just check the Nominate for Publication at the bottom of the posting page when you submit it. If you already submitted the fanword, you can go to Modify Post and choose that post, select the Nominate button at the bottom and then post it like that. I hope that answered your question ^^
Do you mean the icons that represent us that are pictured to the left? You go to your backroom, highlight the word "Profile" on your navigation bar, then select 'Avatar' there you browse and upload your avi, it must be 100 by 100, and under so many mb. It can be jpeg, gif, or a few other types of files.

Okay, from your backroom, under 'Worlds' will be the option to Modify world, you go there and you can edit your world name, address, description, add tags, category, and if it's public/private. Under all that you can check a box to permanently delete it.
Under the Worlds tab of the backroom, you may also go to Introduction to Introductions to put in what you want on top of your world and the bottom option under the Worlds tab is Edit Designs where you can choose the color theme and change things like text color, backround image and stuff
For Posting, before the world tab is the Post tab, where you can "Add Post" there, you'll choose the world you want to add a post too, then you can type up your post, there are code buttons to use for things like images or bolding, colors etc. Later you can modify post, which is the bottom option under the post tab.
I hope that helps. Good luck with your worlds and posting! Feel free to ask if there is anything else I can help with! :3
^^; you can actually delete your old MyO accounts? Lots of people were saying they couldn't after TheO switched over.
With gifts, you are allowed to give up to 6 in a 30-day period. You can access them by highlighting "profile" from your backroom and then selectings "gifts"
There, if people have given you gifts, you can choose which ones to display on your profile page (you will get a PM notification whenever you receive one) and select gifts you would like to give to others and put their username in to send ^^

thanks a lot, yeah, I saw the chatroom, but I'm still too "new" to use it yet, but I didn't know that you can eventually host your own room, that sounds cool when I qualify for that.
I haven't figured out the gifts though...just seen them and realized that those and the trophies were new since my last visit before deleteing my original account the other day, which was a long time ago, lol.
Yep yep ^^ Asking here works just fine! The trophies have only been around for a month or so. There is one for pretty much any activity you can have on TheO and the more you submit of something, the higher the trophy.

That's pretty much the gist of it, is there anything else? The gifts have been around since maybe September, were you able to figure out how/why they work okay?
Another new feature I don't know if you know about is the chatroom. There is TheOtaku chat now and when you visit there, you can chat with other TheO members that are on (there are some restrictions like you have to have had your account for like 3 months and after you've been around for 6 months, you can host your own room on it) So it may be a place for you to explore if you feel like conversing with other anime fans ^^
