Hot Vampire~ Jennifer Smith

This chapter is a joint chapter by my best friend! Not only me! Just so you all know I'm not hogging all the credit =D

"Come on, Jenny! The party just started."

"No...the party started three hours ago. Besides, I have to get ready for school tomorrow. You know I'm not a morning person."

"But like you said, school is tomorrow."

"And in an hour it will technically be morning. So, goodnight."

"Party pooper. At least let me walk you home"

"You don't know where I live and you'll probably get lost on the way back. I'll see you tomorrow"

"Ok...bye"

I waved and kept walking. It was warm, but the humidity in the air promised rain soon. I should have called a cab. I thought, noticing the sudden lack of street lights. My house was a fifteen minute walk away from here. Then, remembering the alley I saw on the way here, decided to take a short cut. When I reached the alley and saw how long it was, I thought about turning back. But since I was already here, I shrugged and kept going.

About halfway down the alley I started to hear voices. My conscience kept banging against the walls in my head- telling me to go back. The alley ended right next to a mall so I figured nobody would mess with me and ignored the rational part of my brain.

I turned around the corner and stopped. He was just....amazing. Don't stare- just walk. If you're quiet, they won't notice you; I had to keep reminding myself. After I had walked a few steps I saw that the other person he was with was a young woman about three years older than me. They were talking about something and since I don't listen to other people's conversations (at least I try not to), I kept moving forward as quietly as I could.

When I had passed them it looked as if I had gone unnoticed because he was now whispering in her ear. Or so I thought. I didn't double-check though because I definitely didn't need to witness a make-out session.

As I stepped out of the alley, I was jolted out of my reverie by the sound of skidding tires and a loud horn.

"Hey! What's wrong with you?! Can't you see that the light is green? Why would you walk into thhe middle of the--Jenny?" I walked over to the car.

"Hey Natalie. Your new car is awesome. I've decided to steal it."

"I know it is. And if you try to steal it, I'm pretty sure I'll kill you. Where are you going?"

"Well, at first I was going home, but now I think I'm going to ride with you because I have nothing better to do." Getting in the car, I noticed that it still had that new car smell.

"Oh. I had nothing to do, then my mom told me to do my chores so I was going to your house."

"O.k. At least we'll be able to start school together. I really didn't want to ride the bus with people I don't know."

I was kind of tired and so I let Natalie tell me about her day while I thought about that guy in the alley. I wonder what his name is? Guess I'll never know...

We were at the house now. The lights were on meaning my parents were still awake. Most likely waiting for me to get home. I took out my key and opened the door. Natalie went upstairs to get ready for bed while I headed for the kitchen.

I grabbed two sodas and four slices of pizza, then went upstairs. Passing my mom and dad's room, I saw that the door was shut. Forgetting to knock, I walked across the room to the light switch and turned the light off.

"Hey mom, hey dad. I'm home. Natalie can sleep over right? Ok thanks, G'nite!" I said while walking out the door.

Since Natalie was taking a shower, I packed my bag for school and ate my pizza; saving the soda for last. By the time I had finished Natalie was out of the bathroom so I went to take a shower.

When I had finished, she was listening to the tv rather than watching it. I got on my side of the bed and turned the alarm clock on.

"Did you get your schedule?" Natalie asked.

"Yeah but I spilled soda on it. I'll get a new copy of it at school. All I know is that my last class teacher is a guy named Mr. Lewis." I said drowsily.

"Me too."

" I wonder what he'll be like....." I said. I was thinking about teachers and people in alleys a few seconds later when I fell asleep.
