That's fine, Capri-chan. :D I know reading isn't for everyone. I think your attention would be kept with the ones I'm reading now though. But it's ok. ^^ I used hate reading, believe it or not lol. But now I loooove it, of course. <3 Maybe you'll get back into it again some time~
I didn't forget about this world! I've been meaning to do a review for a while, but I can hardly get across the amazing-ness of literature in words. XD Ironic, isn't it... Well, I'll try and post in the near future, if I have time. ^^
Well, that actually sounds really cool! If our library has them, I'll read more about this Swift guy :P lol
yeah, no one expects a person like me to read things about Quantum mechanics, String Theory, Chaos Theory, fractals, sociological studies, anthropology, and stuff like that... a lot of it is mathematical, which is my weakest subject lol I'm terrible at math. I'm not particularly good at science, but its an interesting subject :)
Lol unicorns? Just so ya know, there are very few fantasy books with unicorns these days...and not all of vampires or zombies. I haven't read a single fantasy book with any of those, and all I read are fantasy!! XD These books are unique. Matthew Swift derives his powers from the city of London. he uses everyday technology to do his magic...like electrical cords, light bulbs, metal pipes, and even bus tickets lol. Anyway, yes, it's not for everyone. I think it's interesting to know this about you! Lol I never knew you enjoyed reading books like that. XD
Okies. Well, that's fine. Haha, but if you ever change your mind let
me know.
XD I only took a quick glance at the page and then my attention was averted... such a short attention span I have... I can't read anything with unicorns or vampire, zombie shit LOL I get sick of it... but I like fantasy if it's creative. The last creative works I read was Dante Alighieri's The Infernoagain for the third time, and Oscar Wilde's Picture of Dorian Grayfor the third time, and I love them... well, scratch VanLoon, the actual last non-fiction I've read was Justice, Crime, and Ethics, about the law, police & lawyer work and criminology.. its actually an old textbook for people in the Criminal Justice field LOL it'd bore the heck out of you. But I like crap like that...
thank you for the offer, but I'm horrible at reviews, I'm quite the terse person (contrary to this long comment haha) and I think I'd bore ppl with my reviews XP
Lol. Matthew Swift is the character's name. XD It's the name of the series. The author is Kate Griffin (the link goes to her page). They're fantasy...a very modern fantasy. I only read fantasy. >> Sorry, but what you read I couldn't take lol! But everyone has their own interests. My dad is similar to you; he doesn't read fiction at all. He prefers historical stuff.
But if you'd like, you could write a review on whatever you do read. :) Let me know, and I'll add you.
Damn, I don't read enough books lol. I just got finished with Henrik Van Loon's The History of Mankind. It's an interesting summary of our world with insights and prose that you wouldn't get from a normal history textbook. It was written in the 1920's-1940's so it's not up to date, but it is definitely a relic of modern twentieth century thought on mankind's history through an open-minded perspective, as much as history allows open-mindedness... I'm more into concrete, realistic, fact-based stuff like scientific articles... non-fiction stuff about things like countries or space, psychology, or historical research, but I like some poety with frilly details or fantasy type stuff once in a while... I'm not too picky ;)
I'm not familiar with Mr. Swift's stuff, what type of genre are his books? looks like fantasy.
Well, I figured my guest posters would also post here. XD But it seems everyone forgot about it lol. I haven't had the time to post here...or rather, I haven't made time. Haha. Okies, I'll add you!
