It's weird, after the first name, the kid would realize their notbook doesn't work (duh =P). They must be holding on to some odd shred of hope that "justice" will brought on those they hate so much. Maybe it's just the kids way of releasing steam (seems like an odd way of doing it..). I don't know but you're right, someone really does need to draw the line. I love Death Note, but I don't want anyone else getting hurt over it.
