Unfortunately, you need to be a member of thewashingtonpost.com to see the article about Fallout 3, but being the diligent Washingtonian I am with interests in nerdiness, here is the main paragraph:
"The people of our city do not need a daily reminder that Washington is a prime target for an attack. We do not need a daily reminder of what our worst fears look like. Since any First Amendment objection would be irrelevant (the ads do not present a true viewpoint or political message and would therefore not be protected), there is no reason for these ads to be part of our daily panorama. "
Most of the commenter on the actual article agree that this guy's a toolbag, he misinterpreted the first amendment, and something that makes him anxious should not be censored. The WMATA (Washington transit acronym that's too long)is a public institution and can display whatever it wants. The comments also included people who had never touched video games and were not offended by the ads. It would be like not showing Cloverfield in New York because of the poster with the Statue of Liberty's Head Missing. In fact, I think some guy (not our SomeGuy) even accused him of still being freaked out by the Planet of the Apes marketing.

the reason its a verbatim post its theO members doing the news I am only the middle man or women since triguncat hasn't been on in a while and can't add new people to the bootnr news team.
Also I asked baka no hanyou if I could post the review up here because it was really well done and I wanted more people to see it since not everyone looks at fanwords.
Oh hey, a verbatim post. Somehow I wasn't expecting that. Heh. A'ight, a'ight, I'll keep that in mind.
I remember publishing that essay by baka no hanyou in Fan Words, so I find it a little interesting to see it here again.
I should really comment on that particular post there to get all my thoughts out on it. I'll just say this one for now:
Anime is/was, more often than not, about 3-4 episodes of a show for $30. 13 episodes for $60 is a better deal than you might think, especially for a first-run series.

I'm there with Someguy, $60 for 13 episodes in America is a really good deal, especially for the first release.
