Hai ^w^. I think it's a good thing. My grandfather use to tell me that good things come to those born on the first (skills, luck, etc.).
Plus it's the same as Sakura's (CCS & TRC) and Watanuki's (xxxHolic) birthday, so I find that neat^^. Plus I have a great aunt on my dad's side who has the same birthday.
I guess the only down side about having my birthday on April 1st, is that some people don't believe me when I tell them. They say "Ahaha, nice April Fool's joke." Other than that, I don't get teased for it.

Well there's nothing wrong with popularity of coures ^^ But beyond that there are things that are just as good or even much better than the series that are kind of 'public face' of anime and manga, as it were.
I suppose as long as people are eventually willing to explore what else is out there, I'm happy.
If anything but those three made it, my day would be made. Actually, if One Piece had been super-released like Naruto was, then I would be ultra-happy. *grumble*stupidobnoxiousninja*grumble*

Surprising? Maybe, maybe not.
Definitely not surprising at all. Naruto, Fruits Basket, FMA... ho-hum. It would be nice if a non-popular manga actually made that list, but that's hardly likely to happen.
