Well I've changed schools a few times. In 5th grade, they moved most of our class to a different school when ours got too crowded, then in 8th grade, I got moved to a new school when it opened up and they split the whole old school up. The only time I've ever been in one school for a big chunk of times was high school. Hell, I've been to two different colleges too hah.
I dunno, it's something you'll get used to, quicker than you would think too. Sure, there's the nervousness and insecurity at first. You don't know anyone there, and you don't know where anything is. But just go into it telling yourself a couple of things.
1. You really WILL learn where everything is sooner or later, it just takes a little time.
2. No one there knows you right? But that can be a good thing. A new start, so to speak. Do your best to make good first impression on people while being yourself. Like minded people always find each other. Eventually you'll find classmates that share similar interests to hang out with. Just give it a little time and let it happen naturally.
And once you make friends, or even that first friend there, the place won't seem so foreign anymore.
You could always try to play a sport, or depending on what you like, join a club. They really are good ways to meet people because you know everyone there, in general, likes the activity your doing. So it'll give you something to talk about that will act like an ice breaker to lead into conversations to learn more about people and make friends.
Dunno if that helps or not, but I hope so. Just remember a new school, with a new start, and fresh faces can be a good thing if you make it so.
