Ode to my Guinea Pig (my version of an ode)
I remember the first day,
When you first crossed my pathway.
It was cold and wet,
But it was gonna be good because you were soon to be my pet.
I see your face clearly, half black and half brown,
I remember the day when I made you your first crown.
I created tasty treats of apples, watermelon, and kale,
I imagined us together having a sale.(hee hee)
I took you to pet stores to buy your favorite food,
And check out the magezines that had just been issued.
We made paw paint pictures,
Wow, I did really loved her.
You got a stocking for Christamas,
Even you had little hats that made you look like a duchess.
Your cuteness something nobody could bear,
You were just something special and very rare.
Then it came, the dreaded day,
And it all began on a Monday.
You had to take antibodics because you had internal bleeding,
Magnifant Monday was the first day of your painful yet great week,
And I'll always remember your cute little squeak.
Tasty Tuesday was next to come,
I made you delicisous treats, yum yum!
The third day would be Wonderful Wednesday of royal treatment,
Where I would pay more attention to you and made should you were comforteble more than frequent.
Now it was your last day, Thoughtful Thrusday,
Where my friends and I made cards about how great you were.
On your last I told you how much I loved you and how much you ment to me,
But 6:35 pm on January 10th, 2008 your soul left your body and you left me. alone.
I cried until my eyes ran out of tears.
I cried until my eyes ran dry.
I cried until your body was hard.
I cry still to this day.
It was hard.
But your death brought to us new life.
January 12, 2008, we brought Snicker Doodles into our home.
But never worry, you'll never be replaced or be forgotten.
All that is left to say is: I love you.
