Yes, I just got to read your post (just got home from a day at the ocean, and finally settled in *sighes*) I can't believe that person just posted a wallpaper again knowing that they're stealing work. That stuff's gotta stop. It gets old real fast.
And yes, it's happened with cosplay from what I've read. Apparently, this group made an awesome cosplay skit of Frozen. They made all of their own costumes, and were some of the best out there. Well, this "company" stole a video of their group at a convention event and posted it saying that they made the costumes and were selling them. Not only ripped off their awesome skit, but also denied them their original work on the cosplays they made. It was so awful to read about that. These people worked very hard and did such a wonderful job, and an overseas company is profiting off of them.

And NO ripping/retracing/reuploading somebody's art is not flattery in the slightest. If you want the fastest way to insult and piss off an artist, steal their work AND repost it somewhere else and claim it as your own...(of course we wouldn't actually do that, I'm talking about the ones that do.) Hey did you notice my new Otaku title, I'm a Art theft hunter. Gonna keep hunting for art thieves and art theft.

Completely. It's been so disheartening to see all of that, and it needs to stop. It's no a form of flattery or anything of the sort. It's using someone else's stuff without giving them credit. I've even see it happen with cosplay of all of things, and it was a very well known cosplayer who spoke about it, Yaya Han.
I'll see about putting that image up in my world too. Might need your help on it because I'm not sure if there's something special I'll need to do. Also, out of curiosity since I'm speaking to you now, did you get my messages that I sent recently? I just want to make sure that my messaging is working correctly *nods*

That's terrible and I know damn well you work so bloody hard to create your lovely wallpapers. And yes I am planning on writing a follow up post to my current art theft post to bring awareness to the art thief residing here on theO. That little troll needs to be taken down, somehow...
I've blocked SEVERAL of her bloody "accounts". shes' frigging annoying, hell art theft sucks in general. Thank you for helping spread awareness and post this stamp in your world to let ppl know you're against art theft. That's my little gift to you. No I didn't make it but I found it here.

That's just crazy!! I guess I never really thought about other's stealing my work. I need to start marking my art so it's harder to steal. I actually didn't think twice about it until I found one of my pieces on someones site recently. It's just ridiculous that people would actually do it
