Soooo... sorry if this is a pretty gruesome question, but the metal they screw into the jaw and skull go in during surgery, right? Do you know if that stays there permanently? Or will they have to take that out eventually?

yeah, I'm not all fussed about the surgery itself, just the recovery period is what concerns me. You get all swollen and bruised and it's really not that pretty. :P

It does sound troublesome.. But I am sure that everything will be alright.^^
After all, you just worry about your eating habits during the recovery and doctors will during the operation. :P
