"Captain Toshiro Histsugaya of the tenth division evaded the traitor Aizen's attempt to kill him and spirited the seraph away to a plain of the Gods. As you know, we attempted to retrieve them from this realm at his office, but the portal created was unstable and had to be destroyed. Kisuke returned to his shop to fashion another and succeeded. Taking the boy, squad ten's eighth seat Tsukiro Ashimitsu, and myself along with him, we made our way there, finding ourselves in a violent tundra landscape, courtesy of Hyourinmaru.
He took a shaky breath.
"Between our contact with his portal and the time it took for us to created another, Captain Toshiro Hitsugaya of the tenth division had been killed at the hand of the seraph Kita Miyamoto. She betrayed him, stabbing him in the back, and returned to Las Noches and her master."
Yamamoto sighed heavily hanging his head once more. “So Captain Hitsugaya is dead and the seraph back in the hands of Sousuke.” He became silent for a brief moment. “What a conundrum this one little god has caused.” He turned, bumping his staff into the floor. A messenger entered quickly into the room and bowed down on both knees before them.
“Send a message to all squads. Kita Miyamoto is now an enemy of the Soul Society. She is to be killed on--” He paused, “NO! Bring her to me. I will see she is dealt with accordingly.” He turned his back on the messenger and Juushiro. “Also. Tomorrow a memorial service will be held for Captain Hitsugaya. All members will attend.”
Silence grew in the room as they heard him say. "That is all."
The messenger disappeared from the room leaving only Yamamoto and Juushiro.
He turned his head slightly to Juushiro. "Tell me everything that happened."
Juushiro nodded and began to speak again.
. . . . . .
"Kisuke believes that Kita was once more controlled by another god and will continue to research the dagger's sheathe found in the cave in what may be a fruitless endeavor. I had no heart to stop him. The last move I made when we returned was in regard to Toshiro's eighth seat. I ordered Tsukiro to stay at the shop in the protection of his old teachers as a guard against Sousuke, who may still be after his life. He agreed grudgingly after I told him I would get him for Toshiro's memorial."
Yamamoto nodded.
"Yamamoto-sensei, I have two favors to ask of you."
