During those early days of mine when I first joined and started submitting my art, I didn't really find a painting style that I was happy with. Sometimes I didn't use enough paint, and other times I used too much. But at that time, I didn't notice what I was doing with the small details, so I was happy with what I did. When I now look at my old art, I can see errors that I wouldn't have made today. Furthermore, I now know how to make my line-art the way I want it to look. That was the hardest thing for me, making my lines look clean and flowing. In a way, I was like you; I didn't have a form that was entirely my own. Even today, I still experiment with techniques and styles that I'm not familiar with. I don't like drawing only one style all the time. It's more interesting when I experiment!
Yep I got here 2 years after that, but I was kinda a watcher for a lot more.I think I watched otaku for 4 months before actually joining. It's weird thou ,sometimes I relate theotaku site with a life cycle .For those 4 months I was just a spirit that was looking around .Then I finally shaped myself into a form I liked. And then finally started talking and drawing.
It is weird because my art was not a very shareable thing . You really entered the site with a shaped style and I was the kind that was looking how to shape it.With some other time I was changed into a cocoon and finally took my actual shape.
It's very interesting when you tell me all those stories .I will surely go and give a little look to all those users to see what kind of pictures they have. It's weird you know so few about them , for I know a lot of the people, knowing about their art .Maybe it is related or maybe I'm just lucky.
I've been here since Fall of 2003, I think? I know it was later in that year when I first joined. I remember why I joined: I started drawing fan art, and I wanted to share what I did with other people. As fate would have it, I found this site that accepted fan art, so I made an account!
As for that artist, I really don't know much about that person, really. All I know is that vee209 makes some fantastic artworks. In fact, most artists that I pay attention to I don't know much about them. I think you might be one of the few artists on this site that I kind of know, since we've been friends for years now. Other than that, I'm an outsider looking in, at other people's artworks.
I also like KOKUJINDESU, Raindrop23, and sth1d4. They make some original looking pieces that stand out from what other people do. Raindrop23 has a fantastic artistic imagination. So, who are your favorite artists on this site?

It's fun to try new things from time to time.I'm actually happy to be able to check my acc from another perspective.I do remember you have been here for a lot longer than me .When I first saw your pictures they really inspired me to take this road and to make it flourish with so much life and joy.
You do have interesting tales like me to share.I really had a lot of fun at my crazy newb stage, it's just something the site members will never forget haha!
About this mystery artirst, you will have to tell all the story.I'm sure there is a lot more profile.
Yeah, I liked those ones as well. I especially like the creepy "Crime and Punishment". Also, "St Mozgus of Albion" would look good on my wall. At least that one wouldn't give me nightmares.
I didn't recognize that name, so I wondering who this person was! It caught me off guard.
I remember seeing it when it was first submitted, and I always look forwards to seeing new art by that member. I may not comment too much anymore, but I'm still quietly hanging around in the fan art.

Her (His?) oil paintings of Nosferatu Zodd are really good. I don't know anything about painting, but I can tell that much.
