Right now the voting age is 18, but there's some effort by some groups to have it lowered to 16. Considering roughly only 61% of the Canadian population bothered voting this time, I think it would be a good thing to have more willing voters around. Maybe that would wake up some of those more apathetic "adults" over here.
If you were there, I'd have found you an awesome avatar too.
Politics isn't for everyone, and plenty of the time it's not for me, either. However, since this was a fairly important day for my country, I guess it's my duty to pay some attention to what goes on here!
Similar to you, my time is dedicated mainly to things non-political. When I do politicize, it's mostly general "big-picture" stuff. But again, when the time comes, I have to examine various social issues very specifically.
How old do you have to be to vote in Canadian elections? Well, till the results can be uttered, it would be good to hold your silence just for a little longer. XD $25K? HOLY COW!
Yes at last a nice chance to comment.I been reading all your stuff but that "don't comment" stuff really kills friend.Politics and voting are just one of the things in my last part of the "to do " list .It goes a bit up just over the "go to the jungle and get eaten by bugs" part. Since I'm a person of science and giving that my effort will just provide a .000001% change in the result ,I rather found myself thinking into giving a more significant effort to prevent global warming by turning off my heater.
If you think im a bad politician,that makes me equivalently an ecology hero.
Indeed!

@Shinmaru:
The guy's even missing a tooth! How much more hardcore Canadian can anyone get, I ask? I might have to make that my default avatar for Canada Day.

lol, I got suddenly busy yesterday and was out most of the day. That would have been a sweet honorary Canadian avatar, though. :(
