Poem number 1
WINTER
Christmas shoppers runnin’ round,
Trying to get their treasures,
Ready to give to their loved ones,
Collect much for good measure.
Bells ringin’, makin’ a beautiful sound,
Hanging, like always, from the sleigh,
Presents from Santa, for families, boud,
For children who behave in a good way.
Branches glistening from hangin’ ice,
Bare from their natural leaf,
Animals scurryin’, the cold’s not nice,
When it comes to warmth, winter’s a thief.
When it comes to Winter, you never know,
You’ll be surprised to what comes your way,
It could ice, it could snow,
Yet it’s nice not to know what will happen the next day.
The cold steals the smiles,
You won’t see one for miles and miles,
So remember, you have a job this year,
It’s your duty to spread Christmas cheer.
Merry Christmas to all who’s near,
And for those far away,
And don’t forget to spread Christmas cheer.
