I share your opinions... the legendaries at first looked retarded, and WHY NAME THE GAMES X AND Y. Why not colors or gems like the others. And I'm confused at Froakie too. Fennekin is adorable, but I'm never going to pick it because 1) it's fire, and I never pick fire, and 2) everyone is in love with it and I feel like picking the less popular Pokemon.
I've heard a lot of negative things about Chespin. Apparently people think it looks retarded, but I absolutely adore it. It's gonna be the first one I choose. If I get a second game I'll choose Froakie (mainly because it's a water starter) but I've heard a lot of people saying it's the cutest one. I thought everyone would think it's ugly (of course the bulging eyes like you said.)
Anyway! I found a great video, I wonder if you saw it yet? Some guy does this in-depth analysis of the trailer, he gets a LOT of information out of that short thing! click here to watch it, it's really interesting!!
I also love how they explain why the games might be named X and Y, and the possible Z third installment. *nods* It's like the 3d graphing plane.
Truthfully I can't wait to see the rest of the new Pokemon of this gen. I'm excited!
