Yes, wordpress is a blogging site. You can write anything like daily activities, hobbies, loves and interests... and many more and it provides many lovely and free themes for users. I discovered it (reading many other user's blogs) from a long time ago, but haven't noticed those blogs were from wordpress, until I read a fiction that I really like and wanted to comment to that fic. I created one on Sept. 5th. I thought I discovered WP that day, but that day was the day I created an account in WP. I know I have been clicking on many blogs from WP. Hehe, If you like, you can make one. It's very fun and interesting <3. I love WP.

The difference is the little white sparkles (dots) that the second banner has, but the first one does not have.
