That is a very good asumption about the ending. It could be and let me say, I haven't seen anyone speculate about the ending to a show in long time. I used to do the same thing about Gundam Seed Destiny, sadly it had an almost fan-fic ending, but it didn't stop me from believing a third series was coming out, Gundam Seed Eternity.
But I disagree with you on Suzaku, he was a great character the whole show, the whole reason he was a dick to Lulu was because he killed Euphie as Zero, and lets face it, a kind guy like Suzaku is going to ape s**t when someone kills his love. Poor guy, but he did what he felt was right through the whole show, especialy when he teamed up with Lulu towards the end, so AWESOME!
