It's not that this is keeping me from writing fanfiction--quite the contrary, actually. I'm taking a break from writing and honing my skills because there's a lot I need to work on. My fanfiction is not very good at all...
In all honestly, people stopped asking questions a few weeks ago, so I was going to stop after this volume anyway...
Thank you for taking your time to break the news to me. If I look back on them now, I'd probably get confused myself!
Look . . . I know what I said earlier, when I said if you put these these in "volumes" I could publish them for you. But the more and more I see of them, the more I'm coming to see that this is never going to end; I'm sorry, but I think I need to take back my earlier statement.
It's interactive and other members can get in on it, that's cool. But just look at the very beginning of this: if you were brand new to your writing, clicked on this thing where you went straight into your interviews, would you be able to immediately figure out what was going on? Would you comfortably be able to sit down and go, "oh, I see, this is like having anime characters on a talk show!". If people didn't have your initial explanations from earlier works (which it shouldn't have to), then there's going to be a problem with reasoning this piece as a stand-alone writing work.
This was a fun idea. Cute, even. But I'm starting to think it's run its course - here on out you're more or less just rehashing an idea you came up with a month ago. I can't justify this as being "a sequel" rather than just "another set of chapters", and I actually have been starting to get some complaints from one or two people (not just you, there's a few "ongoing" works that I need to stop allowing).
If you want to keep doing this, that's fine. But I don't think I can publish any more. Sorry.
The only other main reason I bring this up is because prior to this series, you wrote a lot of great fanfics... I feel like it'd be a bit of a shame if continuing "What They Would Say" is keeping you from writing new stories, because you're really good at that.
