Watching anime after school's done: Eden of the East

Besides watching Fruits Basket a few months ago, I haven't really been watching many anime, if at all. I have the entire summer to relax.. time to catch up to some I have started, like Eden of the East.

I've watched the series in its entirety now, and I've got to say, wow, it's quality. I would write a full review, but I think this person pretty much said it here:

Personally, I enjoyed the art form, and it did well blending both humor and suspense in. The last episode left me a little empty, in that I felt there was a much more needed explanation, as for the other characters that haven't been introduced, like the Seleção and the persons behind the operation. Perhaps this is why it is so intriguing, since there is so much mystery! Yet, I saw there is the follow-up movie on Netflix and I'm certain there is more story-telling to come, so I'm glad for that. I also like how there's a certain moral to it, but without flaunting it to the point that the viewer is sick of the symbolism, and there's enough to be entertaining as well as thought-provoking. What I mean is the political and moral factors that are regarded in the show, and how to amend the economic issues as well as societal ones. While there isn't a black and white answer to everything, I think this show definitely illustrates that there is a right and wrong way to go about fixing a country (and the creative perks to it!). Very enjoyable, I'd give it a 8.5/10.

When life gives you lemons...

Fuck lemons, I want my money back, you know what, I'm going to buy oranges from now on, screw you life and your damn lemons!

Fo' sho'.

So not much other than life kicking my ass right now. I haven't been able to watch any new anime, I was in the process of watching GunGrave and Eden of the East, but work has got me bogged down at the moment. Finished Fruits Baskets again. I love that series, but I think I liked the manga better, it explains much more things in the story...

oh, and I've been recently reading Homestuck. Some people I know told me about it and I've been looking at it for a while now. It was boring at first, but I decided to mull through it since I was told it gets better.

So what the hell is it about exactly? I'm in the 4th Act of the comic, and I still have no idea what the hell is going on. I'm still confused. Will it get better? Or am I just really dumb? It has gotten much more interesting, but I'm still wondering about it... all I know is that Dave guy is hilarious... he's my favorite so far.
