Well, the RAM memory is used for programs - when everything freezes, your memory's almost completely used up, yanno. You can set how much memory PS uses with Edit -> Preferences -> Memory & Image Cache (I currently have it at 65%), but I still get stupid "no memory" messages D: And it's especially annoying when I scan something and it tells me I don't have enough memory to SAVE IT. JESUS. But a restart usually fixes it.
And the scanning itself takes about 2-3 minutes, with 1200 dpi. With my scanner's program, it takes 1 minute, so the difference isn't that big. I don't know the resolution for scanning through my scanner's program, though *shrugs*
This is gonna shock you for sure: today I noticed that the HQ Tink cover .PSD, with the touch-ups by me, was 1.96 GB. *chokes*

Oooh sorry. See? I knew I'd forget about that. No one else has? You should send a reminder PM lol. Since I don't go on MT, it slips my mind. I'll try to remember to go on there later today. :)
Wow. I had no clue. I don't think my comp could handle it lol...it would take ages to scan, and my RAM...if I'm correct, is currently under 1 gb on my comp lol. Then again, I'm not sure what the difference is between the RAM and the C drive's space lol. But I know that it would take forever to get that scanned in! You're amazing!!
Then I'm gonna do it :D I'm happy that the paper quality has improved and they've bound the new books in a better way, now I can spread them without fear of tearing the pages.
I'm still working on your wall :D And PM me those links to the scans, dammit! No one's PMed me about their prizes yet D:
Hehe, it's a trick I found out while messing around in Photoshop ;) Go to File -> Import -> and your scanner should appear on the list (mine is on the third position, the first two are greyed out). Click it and a window will pop up with the options.
This one is scanned at 1200 dpi but PS has the capacity to scan up to (and including) 19,200 dpi (no, that's not an extra 0 there). But my computer would die, it's already slow while scanning at 1200 and I have 4 GB of RAM.
