I do agree with you there. In smc Jedite lives. In the manga he clearly dies and later there is a clear shot of his dead body when Nephrite takes over. Ive actually started re-reading the manga to do this correctly.

Reading that whole story made me wince. I could never do a job like that. You're a brave soul, Usa.

I like your comparison idea. I don't see enough of those sorts of things. I've noticed only one major difference between the manga and SMC which is [SPOILER ALERT!] the villains don't die right off the bat in SMC. That was actually my biggest gripe with the whole manga-- the "bad guys" didn't get a lot of fleshing out.
