If you have any big projects, maybe just ask your teacher if you can do something a bit "different". Thats basically what I did...(and my camcorder doesn't want to work...)
And...wow...you don't have a song yet? You've got A LOT to do now, haha. What type of AMV do you want, because I could try to think of a good song for it. Idk, maybe?

I seriously wish I could make AMVs for school projects! I've only had to make one video for school and it was making a 60 second ad about global warming... As for the AMV I'm going to make, once I find a song that suits it and would work well for an AMV, I'm going to get started! I know how to remove the subtitles too!

I've made very simple "amv"'s made out of clips from anime for school projects before, but they all have to do with defining stupid words...oh, the torture! (seriously, those words sucked!)

Oh, and I use Windows Movie Maker

OMG!!!! dont even get me STARTED on dgm amvs!!!!! I'm so mad at mine right now!!!!!!!!!! I made it perfectly!!!!! BUT! the video is the wrong effing size!!!! DX I have to find the right sized vid and redo everything!!!! DX I did timing and stuff too!!!!! (though it wasnt the best, its my FIRST amv eva!)

That's an awesome goal! I think my goal for the weekend might be to make that D.Gray-Man AMV that I've been putting off. It's... Quite a lot of work for a 3-4 minute video.

I finished it a while ago. It's a good anime, and the animation's excellent! He's my favourite character, tied with Shizuo.
