Usually I present one topic per forum post for The DC and Marvel Heroes Forum, but with the Injustice: Gods Among Us craze going on, I feel like making an exception.
Topic 1
Imagine yourself a character in the DC Universe. If you can be any DCU super-hero (or super-heroine for female readers), who would it be? Lots to chosse from: whether it's Superman, Batman, Nightwing, Green Lantern, The Flash, Black Canary, Starfire, Aquaman, or whatsoever. You're welcome to talk about why.
Topic 2
Imagine yourself a character in the DC Universe. If you can be any DCU super-villain (or super-villainess for the female readers), who would it be? Lots to choose from: whether its' Lex Luhthor, Scarecrow, Bane, Black Manta, Poison Ivy, Giganta, Gorilla Grodd, Captain Cold, etc. You're welcome to talk about why.
Note that DC Universe does not cover all DC-owned super-hero content (Watchmen and V for Vendetta are examples of non-DCU DC Comics superhero works), in case some of you reading this post are new to the DCU experience.
As for those of you of Canadian residence, Happy Canada Day by the way!

Usually on a monthly month at DC and Marvel Assemble, I post lists must-reads from DC and Marvel sides that came out within the given month (ex: during January 2013, mentioning must-reads of January 2013), but since June is month 1 of the summer s...

Today marks the release of Man of Steel in theaters, and although I have not yet seen the film (and I plan to see it myself), I thought that for today's topic on The DC and Marvel Heroes Forum, you the readers get to debate over which actor to consider the best actor to play Clark Kent/Superman in an authorized live-action filmed Superman production. Over the years of authorized live-action filmed Superman productions, we have seen a number of male actors playing the amazing DC Universe super-hero himself: Kirk Alyn (who starred in the 1948 serial Superman and its follow-up Atom Man Vs. Superman), George Reeves (who starred in the 1951 film Superman and the Mole Men and its 1952 T.V. series spin-off The Adventures of Superman), Bob Holiday (who starred in the 1975 musical special It's A Bird... It's A Plane... It's Superman), Christopher Reeve (who starred in 1978's Superman: The Movie, 1980's Superman II, 1983's Superman III, and 1987's Superman IV: The Quest for Peace), John Haymes Newton (first actor to play Clark Kent in the 1988 T.V. series Superboy), Gerard Christopher (2nd actor to play the Man of Steel himself in the 1988 Superboy T.V. series), Dean Cain (who starred in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman), Tom Welling (who starred in 2001's Smallville), Brandon Routh (who starred in 2006's Superman: Returns), and lastly, Henry Cavill, the lead actor in Man of Steel.
For those of you who have not yet seen Man of Steel but plan to watch it, you're welcome withhold from participating in this forum discussion until you get the chance to watch, or if you want, you can argue which of the actors I mentioned is or are the best of those portraying the Man of Steel hismelf so far. For me, I the two best actors to play Superman in live-action are probably Christopher Reeve and Dean Cain, and though I find Henry Cavill does fullfil the live-action cartoon effect in terms of looking the part he plays (in watching the trailers of course), I save my judgement on how he acts the part until after watching Man of Steel in theaters.
