haha your completely right.
And I know video games do get me close with the guys, I usually beat most of them on it anyways.
And I'm the same as you being raised up on watching anime and playing video games so when people shot me a look like what are you doing? I was like what you don't do this?
I can't wait for college, new people.
:D
Ultra IS a fun word, isn't it? And the more you look at ANY word, the weirder it looks itself, lol. But that's beside the point.
Ah, I know what you mean. *nods* I'm sure that all of us here on this site know this feeling! If you have an interest that is outside the "norm," then you kinda worry about what other people think. I sure have. I started liking anime and video games back in elementary school, and I would be teased when I'd wear my Sailor Moon shirts. Even in middle school, I would be made fun of. In high school...not AS much, but I was still conscious of it. And now in college, no one cares. Once you hit college, there are so many people with so many different interests, and lots of people that like anime so that there's no problem. :)
But I remember in high school, yeah, I would also listen to anime music all the time of course. That's ALL I had on CDs and whatnot. :3 And it's mostly all I have on my mp3 player, too, lol. But anyhoo, one day in math class, we just had free time, and so I was listening to one of the anime CD's I made. This guy that sat next to me, who basically every girl had a crush on, asked me what I was listening to! *looks around nervously* >> I just answered "rock." "Random stuff." So yeah, I was way too afraid to make it known what I was listening to for fear of WTF O__o' responses. And whenever I'd be on the comp, I would usually be on theO or AP, and so people would see me on there, and sometimes my friends would ask about it, but they wouldn't care.
Video games...I've never cared. I love them, and soooooo many people enjoy them that I've never been afraid to let people know I like them. You shouldn't either. :) Heck, it gets you good with the guys, seeing as most guys play games! Lol. It makes you "cool." Hehe. But yeah, I definitely know your feeling. I still sometimes avoid the question and try to kinda hide my likes, but being in college...eh, no one really cares, and don't you agree that anime is becoming more mainstream? Back in the day if someone noticed one of my anime shirts, they wouldn't even know what it was called. "Anime." They'd stare with question marks in their eyes, and then you'd have to explain. But I think nowadays more people know about anime. :/
Ok, I rambled on too long. XD But you had an interesting topic! *hugs* Just don't be ashamed of what you like. ^^ If they don't like it, that's THEIR problem.
