The problem with normal pokemon is just that, they'er normal. They have nothing that really stands out besides that obvious single weakness. The only normal I use is my slaking, and I only use long drawn out moves like solarbeam, hyper beam, and giga impact.
The problem with normals is that their only weakness is SO freak popular. Everyone has a good fighter, from Machamp to F-ing Lucario. If I had a nickle for everytime a friend got my slakings, tauros, snorlaxs with a 1hit-KO close combat, I'd be rich.
