Try a "google pack" it's a big software dump that google has that basically loads up you computer with the cleanest and newest freeware of the day. They have I think maybe 3-4 good antiviruse programs.
Clicking on the stuff it's telling you to buy is how the virus gets into your computer. You put in your credit card number to buy the protection you think you need, and now everybody has your credit card number. *learned from experience* Are you able to run a scan with the protection you already have? I have Kaspersky and I periodically run a scan for viruses, or if I end up on a website that looks sketchy or if my computer tells me there's a virus. Usually there's nothing there, but if there is I can remove it from the scan.
Things my friend Tim taught me about viruses:
1. If something pops up about your computer having gotten a virus, DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING. Hit ctrl+alt+delete to bring up task manager and close whatever program you're running from there.
2. Run a scan using your antivirus software. If something comes up, take care of it from there.
3. It never hurts to turn your computer off, back on, and run another scan after the first one, especially if something was found. (It'll take hours to finish both scans, but it's worth it)
4. When all else fails, call Geek Squad.
I'm pretty sure I did because I never had these problems when I was online on theO or Gaia. Then I get FB a month ago and BOOM... A crapload of viruses and malware -3-
Thank you Yoru D: I hope it will be fixed by the time I get back on the 13th... cause I have to leave today :C and there's a chance a worm is ravaging its way through my software... though my computer is shut down so I don't know if it still can or not...
