I would be upset; I'm not some whore you can just dump for another girl. I mean come on; at least have a good excuse.

I would think that he dumped me for the other girl if he went out with her 'that' fast. But yeah I would feel hurt and lied too -___-. He could at least have the good sense not to do it at a dance and at least wait a few freaking days before he went out with another girl.

Personally, I'd be super upset, because this either meant that the person had been planning to do this for quite some time, or had put little thought into it. It was tacky to do it at a dance...

But that being said, that's my opinion. Different people handle different things differently. If your friend isn't too upset about it, maybe she could sense the relationship was kind of waning? If not, like I mentioned previously, we all have our own way of dealing with something. I would give your friend some space if she requests it- or spend time with her if she wants company. Any break-up sucks, from both ends, but after awhile it does get better.

Well, seeing as I've still never gone out with anyone, I would still feel really hurt. Maybe it is just the difference between guys and girl and their reactions to all of this, so this will be interesting to see the variety of answers you might get. But still, I know if it was me, I would just feel like they weren't really serious at all, especially at a dance or something that was supposed to be a nice night between the two of us. I mean, it hurt enough that when I asked someone to Home Coming he said no, I can't even think bout how bad I would feel if someone did that.
