Well that does sound kind of interesting. I'm not into that kind of show usually, but sometimes if done right, you can't help but enjoy it. I'll have to watch an episode or two at the very least. Just to give it a try. :p
Second season is possibly even more fan serviceable, I thought. Still, it's all good.
I think the thing about Mahoromatic, though, was that it was probably one of the trailblazers for this type of show - it invented the cliches, kinda (or I'm just counting on the show's age too much).
I'unno, this along with Love Hina and Onegai Teacher were my first 3 "serious" anime, so my opinion's a little skewed. Still, as you said, fun show, pretty cute, not bad.
