I'm the exact same way when it comes to evaluating good anime. If I can rewatch it several times through and still love it, then it's good. Escaflowne won that right, as did .hack//Roots, Tokyo Godfathers, and Planetes.
Methinks I might give Kaleido Star a chance one of these days, if the opportunity should ever arise.
^_^ I love Lucky Star for the same reason, it's just as good the second time as it was the first. And one of these days I'm going to watch it for a third time.
I've never actually heard of this one but I'll have to check it out. I have watched two of the animes on your top five though (Lucky Star, though only parts - I really need to finish it, and Scrapped Princess which I really enjoyed as well) and completely agree with their placement there.
I swear, my list of shows to check out is so long that I'm never going to get through it! XD I still haven't gotten to do much in the way of re-watching things yet. XP Though I'm of the opinion that revisiting Lucky Star will be just as fun as the first time was. ^_^
I should definitely take a look at this anime you're talking about here, I've heard many good things about it but never got around to watch it. I'll eventually do it soon, me thinks. =3
1. Lucky Star
2. Slayers
3. Aria
4. Kaleido Star
5. Scrapped Princess
I have a feeling that Aria is going to make a run for the #2 spot once I start re-watching it with the R1 DVD releases. But there's also a new Slayers TV series starting next season so who knows how that will affect things.

I love a show that you can re-watch and still enjoy it because it's that great. Those seem to be so hard to find at times. Heh.

It shouldn't be so amusing, but I just knew that Sarah was gonna be in these comments already. It just felt natural and right in the world . . .
I still need to look this one up. I'll try to do that some time (along with everything else I'm not watching, but still).

I couldn't agree more. (And you make me want to rewatch it again, darn you!)
