Heh, I just bet you're loving it Des. :p I'd say something about Vista but we already talked about that via AIM. Besides, I like XP too since that's still on my old laptop. The hard drive is to small for Vista.
Putting the parts together isn't actually that hard. The motherboard and CPU come with manuals that show you where and how to hook everything up if you don't already know.
Picking out good parts that will work well together requires a lot more knowledge.
Congrats on the new computer. Hopefully this means the days of it deciding to crash on you are now officially a thing of the past. Having better speed and options is a definite plus too. Heh.

Sounds like a fine setup (the mainboard especially should give you plenty of headroom in coming years). It sounds like you're sort of inheriting the graphics card, but for most purposes it should work just fine.
It's sad to see 2K-tan go, since she was always my favorite of the OS girls (the glasses! the professionalism!). And XP-tan is, frankly, the most boring of the OS girls by far - even Vista-tan's got more personality, and the artists still haven't even completely agreed on her appearance yet.
