I don't know how the ones you found were made but I have some hardware that allows me to connect the GameCube's (or Wii's) audio out directly to the computer so I can rip the music directly from sound test in perfect quality. Because of the number of tracks though, it will likely be a while until the Melee one is done and even longer for Brawl since I don't have all of the music yet.
That would be awesome, thanks. I had found mp3s of SSBM's tracks quite a while ago that were recorded from the game but I lost them in one of my hard drive failures.
The soundtrack for Brawl really is incredible. Once I unlock all of the music, I'll be undertaking the ever increasingly large task of creating my own soundtrack for it (I'm in the process of doing the same for Melee). If you're interested, I'll send you a copy of it when it's done.
