I've never played Rock Band before, although I've heard SomeDude proclaim it as much, much better than Guitar Hero several times.
The idea of being able to use more than just the guitar is quite nice though.

I should play more Rock Band, but I have been much more interested in anime and movies (and the occasional book) than video games lately. The only games I have been playing are the point-and-click adventure types on the DS like Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice, Hotel Dusk, Professor Layton, etc.
