I just started Hayate no Gotoku! and am enjoying it a lot so far. Predictably, my favorite episode so far is the one where Hayate is forced into cross-dressing. Tama and Klaus' reactions to Hayate in drag had me dying with laughter. Funniest reference for me, so far, is Hayate randomly appearing as Revy from Black Lagoon, just because it's so unexpected.

And, you're right, Norio Wakamoto does a great job as the narrator. I'm just imagining Vicious or Charles zi Britannia doing this narration whenever he speaks, which makes it all the funnier.

EDIT: LOL, even the narrator's appearance is a reference! He looks just like Coach Ota from Gunbuster (played, of course, by Norio Wakamoto).

Best part of the new Haruhi Suzumiya episode is either Kyon going, "... Yeah, that's Haruhi. *mental facepalm*" after he sees middle school!Haruhi, or Kyon's eyes being all, "OH CRAP CAN I TAKE THAT BACK" when he gives Haruhi the idea to go to North High.
