This is a place where you can find out more about me and what I've been up to lately.
Also, if you have any chibis you'd like to see me draw, this is a good place to request them. Be aware though, that I am working on another project that may make it difficult to fulfill those requests.
I'll also be posting random things - images and video and such - because they made me laugh or amazed me or something, and I thought you might like them too.
I would also ask that you refrain from using any profanity here. I find it to be impolite and unnecessary.

All that aside, enjoy your stay here!

Facebook fan page up

Hey all! Just a little update - I made up a fan page for my book on Facebook if you want to follow it. I don't have a ton to post yet, but I'm hoping to put up some character profiles soon.

Hope you like it!

It's finally done!

Hello all! I have an update on my book. The first chapter is finished and in the process of being printed!! WOO HOO!! Finally! I hope to get it in late September, just in time for the NY Anime Festival.

Just to give an idea, it's a Christian-themed manga about a girl who just moved to a new town and is starting high school. She meets some new kids at school and learns some tough lessons about what it means to be a follower of Christ.

Simply put - wearing a cross doesn't make you a Christian.

Anyway, there isn't really a whole lot else to write about right now, except that I do have a LOT to finish in time for NY AnimeFest in the way of bookmarks, charms, etc. I'm a bit frazzled!!

I just thought I'd update you, anyway. If anyone cares.

For now, I will leave you with this. I hope you enjoy it!

Just some updates...

So up until last week I was on schedule for finishing Chapter 1 of my book doing one page a week. However, a lot of things came up between last week and this one, so I got a little backed up, and only finished today what should've been done last week. I should still have plenty of time to finish it up and do all the other crafts we have yet to make though.

I also took a little time to make an entry to the NYAF Mascot contest, but I didn't even make top 10. In fact, several others didn't make it that I thought should have, while a few made it to the top ten that I never would've put there (in my opinion they didn't reflect the theme as well as they could have). If you want to see my entry, it is here: http://dyzzispell.deviantart.com/art/NYAF-Mascot-Contest-Alt-Entry-120673348

On another note, have you ever wondered if Wii Fit works? Well I can tell you from personal experience that it in fact does. Last August I got the game and started working out on it faithfully about 50 minutes 3-4 times a week. I also changed my eating habits simply by eating less calories. By December, I had lost about 12 pounds. I really never had a lot of weight to lose in the first place, but having tried several other things and finding nothing that worked - mainly because I couldn't find anything that would hold my attention long enough to make a difference - I was amazed at the results. I know you only have my word to go on, but my brother's fiance :devLaura-Lynn: has been doing Wii Fit since sometime last July and she's lost over 75 pounds!! She only has about another 10-20 to go.

So anyway, although it kept my attention, I've since gotten really bored with it. So I decided to give EA Sports Active a try. Well, it's too soon to speak of any results yet, because I've only done one workout, but let me just say WOW!!! This game makes Wii Fit look like child's play. I decided to try the 40-minute easy workout. Yeah, NOT easy. It was soooo tiring. I have several muscles sore today that were never sore with Wii Fit. Hopefully this will be the kick I need to get these last couple of pounds off! It has things like volleyball, baseball, tennis, boxing, kickboxing, inline skating and more. As for toning exercises, I never knew there were so many variations on the lunge and squat!

Anyway, I'm kind of tired, so that's about all for now. Next chance I get, I'll hopefully have more to report. If anyone cares.

What's with the Weird Endings?

You know what else is annoying? When you write a post and then somehow manage to hit just the right combination of buttons to make the web page go back to the previous page, and then when you hit forward to go back to your post, you have to start over from scratch.

Anyway, I was saying that I just don't get anime endings these days. Last Exile, Noein, and now Tsubasa, to name a few. The first two were highly confusing, but the last - can Tsubasa's ending even be called an ending?? I don't get what's so difficult about writing an ending that answers all the questions the series creates.

And then there's Ubisoft's Assassins Creed and Prince of Persia. I never played Assassins Creed, but my hubby did and was quite confused by the ending. I did however play Prince of Persia, and I actually thought maybe I did it wrong and got the "bad" ending, like you can do in some other games (like various Castlevania games). The downloadable content helped a little but overall, must you leave the game at THAT much of a cliffhanger when we'll have to wait probably a couple of years for a resolution - if that game doesn't do the exact same thing again, that is.

So now that I've vented, I'll update. I haven't been doing any chibi drawings because right now I'm focusing all my attention on my manga. I'm averaging about a page a week, and I know that sounds slow, but I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist on my drawings. Plus, not only do I sketch it, but then I scan, correct, ink and tone. It's sort of a long process for me. I'd like to have it done by September for the NY Anime Festival, but I'm not sure if I'll actually accomplish that since I have some other obligations coming up that may take up too much of my time. But I am going to do my best and hope it works out. I have about 18 pages to go, and about 26 weeks to complete and print them. (Oh and by the way, the two characters at the top of my page are two of the main characters in my book.)

Anyway, that's about it for now. I'll leave you this week with a slideshow I put together of cosplay from the NY Anime Festival 2008. Wish it was better quality, but my computer can only handle so much rendering...

Do You Speak English?

Just wanted to share a great little video my hubby showed me that uses an old English skit with World of Warcraft characters. Hope you like it! (...If anyone's even reading this...)
