Ah, I remember when I had to go to work and that's exactly what I was on most days, a walking zombie! I even said that to my supervisor one day I was like "dude, I'm a zombie today"

I didn't know this was a three day weekend until last Thursday when someone mentioned it so you're not alone in not realizing what day it is. Most colleges aren't getting out for Columbus Day though. This is generally the time they do the "Long Fall Weekend" which is basically just a random three or four day weekend. No complaints from me though.

I can definitely see why that would be a tough change. It's pretty much completely reversing your shift. I did something similar over the summer (3-11 PM to three weeks of 11 PM - 7 AM) so I know where you're coming from.

And your friend at work definitely seems to be an annoyance. Maybe if you ignore her enough, she'll go away... Good luck!

I feel your pain. That's one aspect of Truck driving I don't miss. The utter lack of holidays. Got old really fast.
