It's based on Psalm 23, and since I was raised on the pithy King James version, from which I know most of my old English, I figured the humor would be better communicated if I used that format.

This is so full of awesome. I have no words. The last stanza had me laughing out loud.

If SunfallE never mentioned this was related to the bible I would have never guess it was, I never read the english version from it. Actually not even the Portuguese one, either.

I suppose I should clarify by saying that this piece is in no way serious. I wrote it because I thought one of the lines and began laughing very hard, and also because while I take my faith very seriously, I never take it so seriously so as I can no longer be amused at it.

The title is like a dead giveaway, even though I don't read the bible. Though I did when I was younger. >> I love the first two lines of the second verse the best. XD
