My Southern Conflict

Well, this is lovely.
I was assigned, as a project that counts as 40% of my English grade, to do a multi-genre collection of short stories and design it artistically.
That actually sounded fun to me (despite my sucking at art, I enjoy it )
So, the trouble in paradise is this: It must somehow relate to an event our family has been involved in.
My family has basically been the epitome of inconspicuousness for AT LEAST 5 generations. There was no way to get out of the project, and I couldn't SKIP the assignment and get the 0's balanced by tests, as is the first solution to any conflict involving my apathy versus my homework, because this was two of my test grades. We get three test grades per grading period.
Now, don't let my C+ average in Algebra II fool you, I was able to calculate there was nothing to do but try to find a relative involved in SOMETHING at some point at time.
I quickly concoct a plan.
In 8th grade, we had a similar "What Has Your Family Tree Accomplished" project, and I learned I was related to King Richard the Lionheart.
Yes, King Richard of the Crusades. Popularized as "The guy who left Severus Snape in charge of their land in the film "Robin Hood"
So, I go into it thinking "Awesome, I already have this project halfway done" ( see, I keep every written assignment I'm ever forced to do in a special Flash Drive, in case I need to pull a paper out here or there. It's saved my life on several occasions when I've needed to get a paper, but forgot until the day it's due. A quick "May I please print out my paper, It's on my Flash Drive" is all it took for me to save my grade from failing)
However, this was not as easy as I expected. We were expected to get an interview from our family, Cite it, and use it in our paper.
This was hard. Because I was the only person who KNEW I was related to King Richard. Therefore, I had to find a different person to give me an interview so that I may pass.
I then learned that I was also related to some flag bearer in the American Civil War.
This means I had to write a paper glorifying everything I stand against. Namely; Religion, Conformity, and Slavery.
So, essentially, the better I do on the project, the more I seem like a Southern Sympathizing Confederate.
Now, some may say: "Wait, Z.. You live in Texas. Wouldn't they be filled with people who are in support of their old union?"
I then verily relate it to Black's Rights in America (I'm not racist. It's just the biggest shining example of over-compensation since Napoleon)
For a very short amount of time in America (Maybe 200 years, which is a flash in the timeline of Human Life) Blacks were sold, by their own tribal chiefs, to all places in the world. These places including America.
Now, to compensate them, they get special scholarships to collage, their own genres of music, (Namely Rap and R&B) their own word that nobody else is allowed to say (Starting with "Nig") and lastly, the ability to call ANYTHING racist and have a fair shot at making money in court for racial insensitivity. ( Of course, it's probably not that great, this is just what I see as a lazy white boy XD )
Anyways, much the same as the Overcompensation of the black's rights, there is an overcompensation of Northern beliefs in Texas.
You could just about run through a list of everything the Confederates stood for, and there would be heavier opposition in Texas than in AT LEAST 50% of Union states.
And I have to try to convincingly support this for a good grade.
Oh, and this is an oral report, also. So the entire class will know I sound like I support this.
And with the wonders of social media, the entire school would know within the next class period.
Yup, Sure is good to be Z.
Anyways, I'll probably post more about this, but I'm still enjoying the writing of the stories.
Maybe I'll even post a poem or two on here.. Depends on how everyone reacts to this post.
Again, I'm NOT against any ONE group of people! So PLEASE don't start getting defensive with stuff like "Those percentiles seem made up! I want proof."
They are made up. I probably say more hyperbole than actual substance.
And that last statement was a hyperbole also. Just to prove my point. xD
Until next time,
Love me. -Z

Hello, All (Part 2)

So, Yesterday I talked about my life, Today I'll talk about my anime choices and what got me in to anime.
When I was 12, I went over to friend's houses (Like every other kid in America) and we played video games (Like every other kid in America)
My favorite games we played were Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2, Pokemon (I believe this was around the time Diamond/Pearl came out, but maybe a tad before) and Super Smash Bros. Melee.
This said, When I was 12 and my family moved a few cities over so they could be home owners, I had to leave all my friends and move. :(
What made the loneliness that ensued tolerable was anime.
See, I moved in the middle of 5th grade. By this point, all the kids had stupid cliques already, and I was alone because there was no clique for people who liked Video Games. (At least, the kind I liked. There were those ones filled with fans of FPS games like Call of Duty and Halo, but I was 12 and that's an M game. I respected ratings at the time and decided to follow them.
Anyways, I didn't really have friends, till one day a kid heard me humming the Zelda theme and was all "HEY! I've played Majora's Mask!"
I decided to take small steps and start hanging out with him, and he's still a good friend to this day. :)
But I was still lonely because, despite my one whole friend, I was awful at imposing myself to go over or invite him over. So I decided to buy a GameCube and start gaming.
At Gamestop, I found a copies of Naruto: Clash of Ninja 1 AND 2 and promptly bought both. I began playing the games and I loved it, so I wanted to see the TV show. I finally learned when it came on Cartoon Network and started watching the awful dub, that back then I thought was brilliant!
Flash forward 5 years, I still can't even sit through a single arc of Naruto without falling asleep.. xD
But my favorite animes are now Sailor Moon, Death Note, Hetalia, Ouran High School Host Club, and Dragon Ball.. Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's and GX rates somewhere on that too. Pokemon also.. But ya.
Anyways, tomorrow I'll talk about my music choice! :D
SO till then, Remember:
Everybody Loves Z!

Hello, All

Hello, all!
I'm Z. I've found this site because I was looking for a site to find friends and can teach me art.
I've thought of DA, but I've been told they're too critical and I'm still learning basics. I can draw *KINDA* well, but I can't really draw on my computer yet, because I still am running a Track Pad (FUN!) So I've decided I was going to start using Paint Tool Sai once I got a good mouse or a USB Drawing Pad.
As for other stuffs, I'm a 15 Year Old White guy with no real life or anything.
I mean, I know people, and people know me, but I normally turn down offers to hang out and stuff because I'd rather be home watching Doctor Who or some anime, or training Pokemon or sorting my Yu-Gi-Oh Cards for the next Saturday Hobby League.
Despite this, I have a girlfriend (For 10 months so far) who I normally talk to. She's a year younger than me, but looks like a 12 year old, so obviously the public criticizes it.
Anytime I'm truly inspired to draw something, normally, it's because A holiday or her birthday is coming up and I'd look like a jerk NOT getting her stuff.
Now, I know the obvious "Cheapskate! Not buying her stuff is bad!" line, heard it all before. But unfortunately, All the test audience jobs I apply for never get any results, and I don't really have the ability to have a job and go to school AND find time to stare into space, so I gotta pick and choose. You know.
But ya, that's an intro to me, Z, the self-obsessed, Luck driven, lolita dating, lazy Otaku. The one everybody loves! :D
And this is my pilot to my Blog series.
