See, I have talked to him. No, it doesn't involve drugs, it involves alcohol. He's not truly understanding where I'm coming from. He keeps saying that I'm overreacting, but he's the ONLY person who's told me I'm overreacting, so far. Now, he didn't get drunk, but he did let the other people talk him into drinking, which is something he swore to me he'd never do. He says he only drank the 2% stuff, and it was only to get them to get off his back. But I don't think that's a good enough reason...ANY alcohol is illegal if you're not 21 or with your parents! If he'd have been caught, his future would've been fucked up.
I admit, I've calmed down a little, as opposed to when I posted this. But it still feels like he's blatantly disregarding my feelings towards this. See, a year ago, he made me promise that I wouldn't drink if he wasn't around. However, he won't make that same promise to me. I did get him to say that he'd promise not to drink illegally when he got back. He said he wanted to promise face-to-face, but I kinda think it's so that when they drink again up there, he can join in....
I think, in this particular situation, you need to talk to him. I think you should put it into perspective. Just because he did this thing once doesn't mean he'll ever do it again. There are plenty of people who pick up a cigarette, choke on it and never smoke again.
It is important for you to explain why you're concerned (I'm assuming this has something to do with drugs?). If it continued, and I'm pretty sure it won't, then you have grounds to go to a higher authority. But screwing up once shouldn't mean you get authorities involved that may not be as sympathetic as you.
