Walking through the basement hall at my college this morning, I was the only one without a cellphone in hand.
--Walking to the shuttle stop after my class this afternoon, 5 or so people passed me will cellphones in hand.
----At the shuttle stop I was the only one without a cellphone in hand.
------I don't even need to tell you what happened when we all got on the shuttle.
Everybody at my college is just afraid of contact with the people next to them.
It's always been around me, but it just now hit me how bloody weird I must be to society for not getting swallowed up by the texting age. People would much rather seal themselves up in a bubble of indifference and ignore everything around them. =(
With the submission of my hiring packet today, I am now officially a Japanese tutor at my college! Good times all around! It took a while to finalize because I forgot to bring my birth certificate for them to scan for my records. ><;
A job that's something I love... the recipe for success! Here's hoping this leads to even better things!
So the other day, I grabbed an application for a tutoring job at my college!
Since both of my Japanese teachers said that their 1000 level and 2000 level classes are not doing so well, they were both very receptive to the idea of me becoming a Japanese tutor. Here's hoping everything turns out all right! These kiddies need the help >>;
I'm REALLY excited now. Like, overjoyed.
Today I have a Japanese section exam, Thursday I have a Geology exam, and Friday is my Japanese midterm.
Gooooooooooooo academia. *slumps over desk*
Hey-o! Part 3 of my first week of college is here!
I got homework! Homework to do, homework to be done. I've a Psychology paper, an English paper, a Japanese dialogue exercise, and more Asian art lectures and geology lectures to listen too.
Yeah... not much happened today. Aside from the International Studies open house that I went to! I got lots of information about their upcoming trip to Japan! I was so excited... until I saw the price tag. It was... a bit much, considering they weren't even going to cover air fare. So I had to pass on that dream for now. Dx
