~Chapter 1~

"hey there little missy!" The Kahuna said, opening the bus doors. "you must be the new grom for the hotel." he said. "yeah, I am." the girl said climbing into the bus. she had a nice tan and flowy black hair the reached her mid back. the tips were a cascade of blue and green hues that blended in together. she wore a screen-printed tank-top, grey cargo-style shorts and black flipflops. "i'm Raven, but call me Rae"she said. "i'm the Kahuna" the bus driver said "nice do" Raven smiled. "thanks; did it myself. this bus going to Surfer's Paradise Ridgemount Resort?" she asked "yup bra. i'm your ride." Raven got into the front seat, putting her bag next to her and propping up her surf board. it was white with a black tribal design. it was the same one that was tattooed on her neck/collarbone area. Kuhuna talked to Raven about the standard procedures of the hotel and all the basics. the bus pulled up in front of the hotel. "...and if you need a ride, talk to me!" Raven thanked him for the ride and got off the bus.
"RAE!" a girl called. Raven set her bags down and hugged Fin, who had flown out of the hotel doors."Fin!" Raven said laughing. "haven't seen you in ages!" The girls laughed and talked together walking into the lobby. Emma and Lo came out of the D.R with Kelly yelling behind them. they had just gotten on break. "LO! EMMA! come meet my friend Rae!" the two girls perked up and came over to the pair. "hi! i'm Emma and this is Lo" Emma said to Raven. "hello. I'm Raven but people call me Rae." "sweet board!" Lo said "and i love your hair!" just then Reef, Broseph, Ripper, Johnny, Ty, and Lance walking in the lobby. "Why hellooooooooo there~!" Reef said, putting an arm around Raven's shoulders. all the girls roled thier eyes. "hey baby, are your parents aliens? cause your out of this world" Reef said cheesily. Raven picked up his arm and put it back by his side. "i'm sorry; my parents don't approve of interplanetary relationships." Raven answered cooly. everyone but Reef and Raven burst out laughing. "ouch man. you were shut DOWN!" Broseph said. Reef grinned sheepishly. "nice board bra" Brosehp said feeling his hand over the tribal image. "thanks." the guys did thier introductions and Raven did hers.
"OKAY what's going on here!?" Baumer said. "oh, mr. baummer. this is Raven, the new emlpoyee." said Fin gritting her teeth. "hi Mr. Baumer; i'm Raven" Baumer looked around. he obviously thought they were causing trouble"oh...well, back to work all of you! Miss Raven follow me." the group grumbled a little but went back to thier jobs. Raven followed Baumer who was monolouging. "the Employee house is just a short walk from here but for now you can leave your stuff in your locker and pick it up at the end of the day. you'll be working in the gift shop with Meg. here's your uniform and name plate." Baumer opened a locker and took out a uniform and golden name tag. Raven got changed, gacking at the horrible color scheme of purple and yellow. Mr. Baumer explained about being to work on time and the policy of strikes while acompanying her to the gift shop. he left her there with a nice looking woman named Meg and then left.
"so, you're my new employee." Meg said plesantly. the two shook hands and did thier introductions. "Mr. Buammer is a very stressed man. so try to stay on his good side. working in the Gift shop is a piece of cake. all he does is ocasionally point out that a cup is misplaced and such but the atmostphere here is easy. not alot of people come in so i like to be generous. your shift starts at 8:00. you get 3 breaks; a two hour lunch break at 10 and two ten-minute ones before and after lunch." Meg spent the rest of Raven's shift explaing how to work the cash register, where to find things in the stock room and how to fold the shirts. Raven went back to the locker room where she found Fin, Lo and Emma changing. they were gonna hit some waves and Raven agreed to go along. she pulled the curtain closed in the changing stall to get in her bikini "so, where you working?" Fin asked her. "in the gift shop with a woman named Meg." Raven said simply. "so far the only down side is this hideous uniform" Raven said. "what do you mean?" Emma asked. "well the job isn't that bad. i just have to fold shirts, restock shelves and work the cash register. i start at 8-" "WHAT!?" Lo said "kelly makes us start at 7!" "and i get a 2 hour lunch break and two small breaks--" this was an outraged to the girls who ranted about how room cleaning and the D.R were slave drivers. "whoa people! chilax!" Lance said followed by Ripper, Reef, and Broseph. "what's the big deal?" the girls told them. "i can't believe it..." Emma murmmered. Just then Raven slid the curtain open. "so are we gonna stand here and rant or are we gonna hit the beach?" she was dressed in a simple black bikini. that was it. the guys stared opened mouthed. Fin sighed. "i guess your right. lets go!"
