~Chapter3~

Rae was estatic. there's was nothign like catching the first waves in the morning. waking up at 5:45am was hard for her, especially with awesome waves five minutes away from her lodgings. she was both a early bird and a night owl. as the subegan to rise, the ocean changed from the deep blue into hues of light blue, yellow-ish gold and orange. Rae sat on her board, just watching the sunrise.

"wow bro....some one beat us to the waves." Broseph murmmered. he, Johnny, reef, Lance and Ripper always got up to go surfing together at 6:00am. this was the first time anyone had beaten them. "you gotta admit she's good." Lance said, as they watched Rae ride the waves. Reef whistled low. "you also gotta admit she's hot in that bikini." the guys nodded.

Raven rode the wave to the shore. man, that felt good. the waves back home had nothing on the ones here. she stuck her board in the sand and laid down. that was the second best thing about this place;the sand. she closed her eyes and sighed. "'ello shielia!" an austrailian accent said. she looked up. Ripper was grinning down at her. "oh, morning....Ripper was it?" she said. he grinned. "yes, that it was. you seem to be enjoying yourself." He said. she laughed. "well of course, this is surfer's paridise. she got up. "seems think the gang's all here." she said, noting Reef, johnny, Lance and Broseph. "eh, we like to catch the morning waves." Broseph said with a shrug. Raven smiled. "well the waves are awesome today." she said and grabbed her board. "you guys up for the challenge?" she said. "bring it on!" Lance said. hey raced to the ocean.

the six of them walked back to the rundown house laughing and joking. "where have you been?!" Fin cried when she saw Rae. "it's 6:45!! shifts start in 15 minutes!!" Rae shook her head. "not mine. i start at 8:00 remember?" Fin huffed. "oh yeah....well, still..." "whoa. you start at 8:00???" Reef said. Rae shrugged. "yeah. no one is in the gift shop at 7 am. unless they have an urgent need for flimsy mugs and crappy t-shirts." they laughed. "why don't you come hang out at the each?" Reef said, putting an arm around her. Fin rolled her eyes and said, "kook." Rae pulled his arm off "yeah i was gonna do that
anyway..." she said. "but not for the reasons you think." "rejected...again man" Broseph whispered to Reef as Rae marched upstairs. "hrmmm...seems like i need to try harder.." Reef said. Lace check the clock. "whoa! we got 10 minutes to clock in!" and with that, the guys hurried to get ready for work.

Rae went to chill at the beach before her shift just like she said she would. she laid out a towel, got out her sketchbook and began to sketch. "so...any luck?" Broseph said, talking with Reef who had been staring at Rae. "not yet....she's been drawing the whole time." "curious?" Lnce said, he and Ripper coming over. "hell yeah! i've walked by her about 4 or 5 DOZEN times and she doesn't even look up!" Reef said exasperated. Rae looked at her watch, then closed her book. "hey! i think she's leaving. Ripper check his watch. "she starts at 8:00 right? she's got 15 minutes to clock in.." Rae began to fold up her towel. "gawd i wanna know what she was drawing!" Reef whined. Lance thought a minute. "hmm...i have an idea..."

"WATCH OUT BRA!!!" Broseph yelled. Rae turned to see a volleyball flying towards her face. "WOAH!" she said, and eaned over backwards to dodge it. she did but in the process, her sketchbook fell in the sand, papers scattering everywhere. "oh no.' she moaned. she bagan to pick up the papers. "let me help you bra." Broseph said comeing over and started helping her. "no it's okay broseph." she said a little flustered. "now i got rearrange the whole thing..." she muttered. she looked at her watch and groaned. "there's no way i can pick these all up!" she said. "my shift starts in 5 minutes!" "hey what happened?" REf said, running over with Lanceand Ripper "Rae dropped her sketchbook and she needs help picking up the papers." Broseph explained. Rae looked at her watch again. "i don't have time for this." she muttered. there were still 20 or so pages left. "hey, why don't we pick them up for you?" Ripper suggested. "we're on break now, so we can gather your stuff and drop it off at the odge!" Rae bit her lip. "well...i guess that'll work....but please be careful with it." "sure thing sheila." Ripper pledge. "thanks guys!" Raven said, rushing off to the lodge. Lance grinned at Reef "mission acomplished
