It's kinda what it says on the tin, so to speak. Once a day for thirty days, you post about that day's given topic. Like Day 1 of this .hack challenge is "What got you into .hack", so for the first day you'd write about how you, personally, got into the series. Then there's others later about your favorite couple, and so you'd write about which couple you like best and possibly why, etc.
There's really no guidelines other than that. People are free to be as brief or not in their writing, or they could even just use images. The point is to somehow address the topic in each given day and do so every day for a thirty day period.
