Not having consistently been able to read its American counterpart, I don’t have a solid baseline for comparison, but the ideas are very cool and interesting. :)
Fleetway was exclusive to the UK, I own an issue 1, it was officially known as Sonic the Comic as Fleetway is a publishing house but it was easier just to call it fleetway Sonic when compared to Archie. It was a mix of great ideas and world building with some choice decisions on character traits.

Very interesting, especially the bits about Metallix, Super Sonic and Sonic being smarter.
The Archie comics were at their height when I was a kid, and my brother and I only got our hands on a few issues. Even then, it was hard to find them in order, and now it’s nigh impossible to go back and collect them. All that to say I never had a chance to get the full Sonic comic lore.
