I have to say that, with my own work at school... I'm more than accustomed to having multiple tabs open, so I never saw it as an issue in the first place. *shrug*

The only problem is that not all your original members have made the move to Worlds...they love myO and they're sticking to it and they have no way of knowing if they have a PM in their inbox.

I don't know where I good place to post this is, but I've been having problems a LOT with pages not loading and pictures not showing up. One second everything will be fine and then next I go to look at someone's fan art and the picture doesn't load. I've tried switching internet browsers only to have the same thing occurring. I know I'm not the only one having this problem because I got a comment on one of my drawings that said, "well, the picture isn't showing up but I'm sure it's still good." Is there a reason why images randomly don't load? I've seen this on World's sites too.

Porting the new system into myOtaku won't work either because the new system uses advanced code and myOtaku's "core" is on ancient, obsolete code that was written years ago.

That only confirms my guess, I figured that myOtaku was getting on in years. Otherwise, why bother to completely rewrite and launch the new site for theOtaku, Version Vibrant? If upgrading myOtaku was easy, you would have done that instead. lol Common sense really. :p

And for the record, I don't find having pm's only at one site inconvenient at all. It's really easy to use the system here since everyone who was a member at myOtaku have that option here as well.

Again, I was not around for myOtaku, but as I said over at OtakuBoards in a thread related to this... it's foolish to divide one's time and work between two sites, especially if one is obsolete code wise like you just stated.

And seriously, it's not that hard to be logged into more than one site at a time. Who isn't these days? I imagine that was a huge factor into why browers now have the tabbing ability so you don't have multiple windows up.

All that's happened is instead of going to the post office on the west side of town, you now have to go to the one on say the east side. :p Wake up call! Your delivery service has moved and guess what? It's better than ever!

I think that's an apt analogy for the change, you can't say it doesn't come to your home either because your at your computer and getting to the new location is absurdly easy. :p

I don't mind not having a PM system for MyO, but it would be nice to have a link on MyO that will bring you to TheO's PM page, instead of going the long way around. Hope that didn't sound confusing.

Sounds good to me.

The PMing system over here is way better in my opinion anyways. I don't see why anyone would fuss about it.
