What I Like About Goku Black (DBZ/DBS)

HOWEVER I was not really a fan of the arc in terms of plot.
I don't know all of the facts, but what pissed me off was when Goku Black and Zamasu fused into that unkillable monster-looking thing and then there was two unforgivable actions of poor writing that sort of betrayed the hype I had.

1. The Potara fusion was retconned
2. The retcon of the Potara fusion was made to enhance a character that did not need any type of development
3. I believe the use of the Spirit Bomb was retconned in a way.

First off, seeing Vegito Blue was kind of absurd for me. I don't like seeing all these off-the-wall transformations being used for fan-favorite characters, it's something that ruins DBZ. But at the same time this was sort of expected, and it wasn't too crazy to look at.
What I could not overlook was the fusion being retconned, and it bothered me because IT COULD HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BETTER!

There were some avenues that could've allowed for Vegito's fusion to be dispelled that didn't just break the established laws of the universe.

  • 1. The fusion could have been dispelled because the god ki is too powerful for the Potara earrings to host, dissolving the fusion
  • 2. Zamasu could have used some type of arcane attack that only the Kai's know to nullify the fusion
  • 3. Bills (I personally don't like the name "Beerus") or Whis could have used their powers as destroyers to split up the fusion after the battle
  • 4. Summon Shenron and wish for Vegito to be dissolved after the battle

Just off of the top of my head I made some propositions that could have appeased more fans and just made for a better resolution than something that is completely contradictory to the previous incarnation of Vegito.
THE POTARA FUSION IS SUPPOSED TO BE PERMANENT...PERIOD!
IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO JUST DISSIPATE AFTER AN HOUR OR SO...THAT'S THE FUSION DANCE!

And it was for moot, too, since Vegito Blue couldn't put him away.
But for some reason Trunks with the damn Spirit-Bomb infused sword could apparently put him down for the count?

Trunks did not need to be the damn hero! There was no character-development needed that would prompt Trunks to have to pull the spirit-sword out of thin air.
Plus it's also a retcon of the Spirit Bomb because a Super Saiyan cannot wield the Spirit Bomb because that transformation requires the pure heart needed to wield the Spirit Bomb to be tainted with rage and hatred.

Sorry, I like to nitpick.
