Or somebody could wake him up and make him see how shallow and petty he's being...but...if 60 some-odd years of living hasn't done that, this probably won't.

I know. I want to write him an angry letter but he probably wouldn't take it seriously. My theory is that he came from one of the schools where having a good social status was a kind of "dog eat dog" thing. (I'm not saying I don't see a bit of cattiness and stuff going on in my school, but most of us have outgrown that.) I think he was one of the "popular" kids who did whatever he had to in order to stay on top, even if it meant hurting other kids. He was just desperate to stay in good standing. And now, in his age, he never got over that teenage bullshit and never grew up. That's just my theory. Thoughts?

I know. I totally agree. And I asphyxiate whenever I walk past that place too. But this kind of makes me want to contact the guy and treat him to an hour long bitch-rant. I wouldn't even know where to begin.

That's good to know. He probably won't listen or care with his attitude though.
