What happened next almost made me lose my sanity. We finally met up with Kiki, Mocha and Dino once more. Kiki had been severely injured and Mocha was hurt as well.
“Mi dispiace! Mi dispiace!” Dino said, chattering away in Italian.
“Dino! Calm down and speak in a language I can understand. Pick Japanese or English!” Hime said.
“The girls…got separated from me! I looked all over the place for them and when I
finally found them…” he trailed off.
I hugged Dino, “You did your best…”
“Mocha…” Hime said.
“You three go on ahead…You can make it out. I just need to rest for a bit and then Kiki and I will join you!” she lied.
Mocha looked over at Kiki, who had passed out.
“Who am I kidding? Kiki cannot hear me anymore…The truth is…I can’t leave her. She does not stand a chance at surviving…and I want to be with my twinnie until the very end…”
“Mocha…” I said.
“Grande Fratello…Get out safely…Tell everyone what happened…Tell Takuma about Kiki. Make sure he never forgets her…Give him this…” Mocha said, handing Dino Kiki’s broken pocket watch.
Mocha wiped away a tear, “And…tell….Captain…No. Tell Toshiro….I’m sorry…and that I will see him in the Soul Society where I will haunt him forever…and…give Luna my hat…”
“S-si…I can do that…” Dino said, choking back tears.
Hime hugged Mocha and then Kiki. Dino did the same. I hesitated…but gave them each a hug as well. Hime led the way out of the room.
“Twinnie…” Mocha said, lying next to her on the bed, “Let’s go together…Ok?”
