That is going to be hard. You could first copy all entries, then then juts randomly mix them together. Then go by two cards and choose the better one of those two and so on and so on, until you cut the number in half. Then you do that again and always until you are just left with the best ones.^^
That is how I would do it, but I am sure that you have something much better in mind! :)
